The Living Initiative is a non-profit charity organization founded by Aishat in her home country, Nigeria.

The organization looks to cater to the vulnerable in society helping them with some of the basic daily needs for survival. Over the past few years, the organization has organized several outreaches in line with this objective.

Community Health & Wellbeing Initiatives

With The Living Initiative, Aishat is spearheading effective outreach campaigns dedicated to elevating quality of life and the dignity of the most vulnerable. Ranging from provision of sanitary pads to high school girls, to free medical check-ups in local markets in Nigeria.

Community Medical Outreach

Driven by my pledge towards attending to the needs of exposed communities, I together with my volunteer team carried out a medical outreach at the Orisunbare Market. This initiative provided free essential diagnosis together with medical guidance to the traders and locals, making sure that basic medical services are offered to those that would otherwise be unserved.

Menstrual Hygiene Outreach

On my 25th birthday, I decided to mark that day in a way with a noteworthy difference by empowering young schoolgirls through a menstrual hygiene outreach. With a team of committed volunteers, I talked to the students about periods and their self-worth, urging them to be proud of who they are. The project benefited more than 250 girls with sanitary pads to help meet their basic hygiene needs.
